Wondering how I get my Percentage Saved? I use the following equation:

Total Savings / (Total Spent + Total Savings) = % Saved

Hello stranger!! I know that it has been a while since I posted a break-down of my weekly Publix trip, and I apologize to those of you who have been missing it! I have been busy with...well...life! I had a moment to break this one down for you and I hope that it will be a tool to help you figure out how all this couponing stuff works to give you less out of your pocket!!   

  

First of all, I shop Publix in AL. My store policy may differ from yours, so you have to find out what store's your Publix considers a competitor. You should also find out if the double man. q's up to $.50.

Here are a few reminders about shopping Publix (AL):

• When and item is Bogo, you DO NOT have to buy 2, they are 1/2 price.
• You CAN use one MQ plus one STORE coupon per item. 
• Publix takes competitor Q's (find out which stores YOUR Publix considers  Competitors)
• Publix doubles MQ, but not STORE q's, up to and including $.50!

I was very happy with the overage items to get my total down! I am using the covergirl items from my past trips and in future trips to build baskets for girls/women for Christmas (or to donate...haven't decided yet.) Also I am saving my receipts for the $5 School the Nation Rebate Here:

I plan on adding ketchup, dressing, Covergirl items, panty liners, and vitamins to the donation box! Always Give what you can to others who are in need! We had an awesome grocery trip today! We got stocked up on a ton of stuff! I'm hoping that I won't have to shop next week! (Fingers crossed...lol!) I use coupons combined with store sales to get huge savings off retail. The great thing about Publix is that they double manufacturer coupons (up to $.50.) They also have several store coupons available that they allow stacking with a manufacturer coupon on one item. They also accept competitor's store coupons which can be stacked with manufacturer coupons, as well! I love Publix, but it may bee better for you to shop at another grocery store and that is completely fine. Know your store's coupon policy. Check your store's sales ad every week and purchase sale items and combine coupons and you will soon be on your way to saving more at the grocery store! 

*Things to remember when shopping PUBLIX (AL):

• When and item is Bogo, you DO NOT have to buy 2, they are 1/2 price.
• You CAN use one MQ plus one STORE coupon per item. 
• Publix takes competitor Q's (find out which stores YOUR Publix considers  Competitors)
• Publix doubles MQ, but not STORE q's, up to and including $.50!
