1ST MONTH OF BUDGET (DECEMBER 2010)
I am trying to see if I am staying within my $400/mo. grocery/household budget. I think I am, but I have never REALLY watched it. So far, this month, I have spent $157.82. If I find that I am under $400, I will then put that "overage" towards something else and try to continually lower it(my budget) until I can't anymore! I spent about $55 on meats that had been marked down at WalMart ([2] 3 lb. roasts, 5 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breasts, 8 lbs. LEAN ground beef, & 5 lbs. pork chops) and I have plenty of canned and frozen veggies, pasta, rice, potatoes, cheese, and milk. I will have to make a run for Fresh fruits and veggies next week I am sure (I try to always have apples and bananas available!), but I want to see how far under budget I can get, while still feeding my family pretty healthily! So, here I am, putting it all out there! What is your grocery/household budget? Leave a comment! Let's be honest guys. Is it hard for you to follow a set grocery/household budget? I think it will be for me and I'll be lucky to even come in a penny under budget, but we will see!
12/10/10 : spent $36.31 at WalMart on fill in items!
