What's for Dinner Tonight? Sausage n Penne with salad and garlic bread for $5.29!

  • 1 lb. link sausage sliced 1/4 in. thick (any kind you like, but I am using Oscar Mayer turkey sausage for $1.94 at WM!)
  • 1 box Penne (or any short cut pasta...just change the name of dish!) FREE, see post, HERE)
  • 2 jars Bertolli pasta sauce ($1.30, see post HERE)
  • 1/3 head of lettuce chopped, $1.49/head @ WM, used 1/3, so $.50) 
  • 1/3 pint of grape tomatoes cut in half ($.67, see post HERE)
  • Dressing for salad (FREE, see post HERE)
Garlic bread:
  • loaf of New York Texas Toast $.44, see post HERE
TOTAL: $4.85, or $5.29 w/tax!

  1. Add 1 to 1 1/2 tbsp. oil in a large skillet and heat to  medium high.
  2. Add sausage to skillet and cook until browned.
  3. Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package directions.
  4. Drain sausage and add 2 jars pasta sauce, let simmer.
  5. Add drained, cooked pasta to meat sauce mixture.
  6. Make salad.
  7. Cook garlic bread according to package directions.
