Slow Cooker Beef Pot Roast
Ingredients:
- (1) 2.6 lb. Pot Roast (bought on sale at WM-$7.28 and put in freezer, forgot to thaw)
- (1) box soup mix (2 packets) $.75!!
**Heads up...Sent the hubby out to pick up some onion soup mix for the roast...Look what HE found:
Dollar General has a store brand Onion Soup mix- $.75! (Yes, I guess I have him trained...LOL!) I didn't know there was a store brand! That's less than 1/2 of what the Lipton costs at full price! So, If you NEED it and it's not on sale, Dollar General Has YOUR back!!
- (2) Cups Water
- 1 1/2 lb. red potatoes - $1.25 (see post HERE)
- (2) cans Green Giant Green Beans -$.78 (see post HERE)
Total: $10.06 (or $10.97 w/ tax!)
This will be at least 2 Dinners for us (leftovers night!) and lunch for the hubby tomorrow!
Directions:
- Wash Potatoes and place in the bottom of the Crock pot. (You could also add carrots, but I omit them because I am the only one who will eat them.)
- Place frozen (or thawed) roast on top of potatoes.
- Mix onion soup mix with 2 cups water and pour over the roast.
- Cook on low for 8-10 hrs.
- Eat and enjoy! I will serve green beans on the side because I omitted the carrots!
